What’s a girl to do? Music has always been a driving force behind most anything I’ve done in my life. I was spending more and more free time seeing live music and hanging out at local venues, particularly one that was then called the Red Room. The owner kept noticing my connection and rapport with the band members, both local and touring, and how I helped hook them up with places to stay, new friends, networking opportunities, etc. He hired me on the spot to work as the booking agent/promoter. I booked close to 7 days a week while maintaining 15 units a semester and an internship touring with a local punk band. Yeah, no sleep for the rockin’.Since I was booking some really great talent such as Throw Rag, DOA, Kinski, Eric McFadden Trio and the Epoxies, and the venue, then named Riff Raff, was not doing so great, I decided to go out on my own. In 2003 Devil Kat Rock Productions was born. Also around that time I started managing a local hard rock band.
So it’s been over five years now and, though I no longer manage bands, I am booking local, regional and national bands for Nick's Night Club as exclusive agent, booking national tours for SST Records owner Greg Ginn, playing guitar in Truckers Wife, and as always rocking harder than ever.
